STAT-P bookings open now

Bookings for the Special tertiary Aptitude Test (STAT-P) are now open for students who wish to be admitted into the University of Technology and University of Goroka in 2018.

This was announced by the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER) through the office of the UOT Pro Vice Chancellor – Academic, Dr. Augustine Moshi recently.

UOG and UOT have teamed up this year to give this aptitude test to schools leavers (grade 12s) who wish to be admitted into both institutions and pre-service non-school leavers who wish to be admitted to UOG in 2018.

The aptitude test is now a compulsory part of the two universities’ admissions process and applicants who fail to book and sit the test will not be considered for admissions in the coming year.

The STAT-P is the same test offered by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and will be used to assess students’ ability in addition to the grade 12 national examinations results to screen applications.

The test bookings will be open until 15th September 2017 and no bookings or payment will be accepted after this date.

The test will be conducted simultaneously in ten (10) centers across the country from November 7th to 9th 2017.

The confirmed centers for the tests are Port Moresby National High School (Port Moresby), University of Natural Resources and Environment (Kokopo), Holy Trinity Teachers College (Mt. Hagen), University of Goroka (Goroka), University of Technology (Lae), Mercy Secondary School (Wewak), Cameroon Secondary School (Alotau), Ecom Secondary School (Manus), Hutjena Secondary School (Buka) and Kiunga Secondary School (Kiunga).

Students can either book the test individually or school principals and guidance teachers can do a collective booking for their students.
