Matheson Library hosts book fair. 

The University of Technology’s Matheson Library will be hosting a book fair to observe the National Book Week tomorrow Thursday, 10th to Friday, 11th August at the, Taraka main campus.

The library management is bringing the celebrations to the campus for the first time unlike in the past years where they go out to schools to celebrate.

The theme for this year is “Libraries for Nation Building”.

Several schools in the city have been invited to participate in the fair with lots of fun activities planned by the staff including quizzes, treasure hunts and search race with lots of fun prizes to be won.

Librarian, Mrs Rena Gonduan who is part of the organizing committee said companies like Seeto Kui, Morobe Stationery, Bmobile, Telikom, Unitech Bookshop will set up book displays and sell merchandises over the two days.

Mrs. Gonduan said there will be a session for reading books for the younger kids and poetry sighting as well as book displays and photography displays by the library of former Unitech students who are now prominent people in the private and public sector who contribute to nation building.
