The ALUMNI’s overall executive control will be overseen by an Executive Committee consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer whose business will be based at HQ while the chapter chair will form the General Executive Committee of the ALUMNI. The eminence of this organization will be graced by a patron who will be a very senior and notable community figure in Papua New Guinea or the Pacific region or the Commonwealth.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Alumni’s Executive Committee will consist of the Chapter Committees. The Chapter committee members will be nominated and elected at each regional level. These Regional Committee Members will together stand to elect and nominate the Patron.
The Unitech Alumni Executive Committee shall be made up of the:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Chairs of 5 Regional Chapters
- 15 Reps from each of the Academic departments plus 2 from the affiliate colleges-on invitation
- Executive Officer-Alumni Officer and a key contact to the Association.

The President of the Alumni Association reports quarterly to the Vice chancellor (VC) of the University on the associations work and to hear from the VC about the University. The president presents an Annual report on the state of the Alumni which in turn reports to the Council. The President attends the council meeting in which the alumni is being discussed and has a chance to interact with the Council leadership of the University.
PURPOSE OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
- Develop and propose alumni strategic plans in support of the association’s objectives to be facilitated through the alumni office.
- Appoint chairs to coordinate regional chapters of the association and to report back during the AGM activities of the chapters.
- Appoint reps from 13 academic departments plus additional 2 reps from the affiliated colleges to represent the department level and to be called on when needed to report on alumni participation in each department/colleges.
- Discuss and Exchange ideas and concerns relating to the University and to see how best the Alumni can be of assistance.
- Inform the assossiation membership of the plans of the University and how these plans can have an impact on the the members.
- Approve and make overall decisions to the best interest of all association members and
- Be voice of the alumni to the university Management and council.
