Postgraduate Programs
Overview
The School offers Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in both the Applied Chemistry and Food Technology programs and is currently in the process of putting together the Master of Science programs.
The School encourages high quality need-based or impact research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and continues to produce
around 2 publications per year. In keeping with the University and the national vision, the School strives to produce high quality
graduates at higher degree level as well.
The academic staff members engage in research and consultation activities related to their specific areas of specializations, and
interested prospective students are encouraged to contact the department for details.

Entry Requirements
- A merit degree or postgraduate diploma from a tertiary
institution approved by the Postgraduate Studies, Research
and Innovation Committee (PSR&IC), or - A Bachelor degree of Honors standard (GPA 3.7 out of 5) from a
tertiary institution approved by the PSR&IC - Relevant first degree with an industry experience of more than
two years
Entry Requirements
- Must have a Master degree in a field of study related to the subject
of the proposed research. - Proven track record of research
